Hello families!
Welcome to third grade! I am SO excited to work with your child this year! I really enjoyed meeting everyone at Meet the Teacher! We had a wonderful first week of school and I look forward to a fantastic year!
Monthly News
I will be sending two monthly news/updates emails throughout the year. Expect to see this on the first school week of each month and one again mid-month. Please make sure to read this! It will include volunteer opportunities, updates in our classroom/school, and assessment dates. This monthly news will also be posted on my class website (http://missblackton.wix.com/third) and emailed to any emails you included on my Google Form/QR code.
If you have not yet signed up for my Google Form, you will see this email in paper form. Please complete the Google Form at your earliest convenience. Also make sure to explore my classroom website - it has a TON of great resources for third grade.

BOG will be on July 24!
Tuesday Folders
Weekly work folders will come home on Tuesdays! Please review work in the folder each week and return the empty folder.
Testing Dates
BOG Tracks 1,2 and 3 - July 24
CogAT Tracks 1,2 and 3 - October 7,8, and 9 (test for AIG services)
IOWA Track 1 and 2 - November 6 and 7 (only selected students who have qualified from the CogAt)

August 13 - Tracks 2/4 Curriculum Night 6-8p
August 14 - Literacy Mid Unit 3
August 19 - September 8 - Track Out! (optional track out packet on my website)
September 9 - Welcome back!
September 16 - Math Unit 3 Assessment
September 17 - Literacy End of Unit 3
September 27 - Fall Festival
